    March 30, 2020 11:00 AM - Representatives of IBEW Local 21 were notified that because of the unpredicted number of absences due to the effects of COVID-19, FMLA leaves and other reasons the City cannot grant PCOs vacations. This decision will affect PCOs with the following furloughs: Segment 4B, Full 5, and Segment 5A. Representatives from the City will contact employees if the cancelations need to go beyond 5A. It is anticipated that staffing numbers will continue to decrease and the City stated that they must take this measure to continue to provide essential 911 services to the residents of Chicago. If staffing numbers improve the City stated that they will reconsider their decision. Remember that all of us who count on you appreciate all of your hard work during this crisis.
